The Bay Area Ambassadors are glad to be back home after a two game road trip saw them split points and be awarded another 3 due to an un-cleared player on San Diego Flash’s roster. The points swing drove Hollywood to the top of the Table and gave the automatic 2011 US Open Cup berth to the Hollywood Club. The Ambassadors, who were looking for anything to change their fortunes will take the points and hope the good fortunes are the beginning of a momentum swing. While continuing to retool the line up, the Ambassadors have addressed in house issues that led to performace drops and are now focused on finishing off the season on a high note. This is the matchup that when faced with adversity can be a true measuring stick. As the Ambassadors look to reclaim home dominance, the match up should be an interesting one. To leave with three points would be a definite momentum booster. The Ambassadors qualifed and performed brilliantly last season in the Open Cup. Perhaps the match will provide a little extra incentive to get the Ambassadors back on track facing the team that has supplanted them in the tournament for 2011. Kick off time is set for 6pm at Chabot College in Hayward. Ambassadors drop fourth in a row.

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 25, 2011 – In what has become a complete reversal of roles from a season ago. The Bay Area Ambassadors are searching for their first points of the season.
Saturday nights home gave vs. the San Diego Flash was the perfect opportunity to right the ship, but the visibly short handed Ambassadors were unable to find the net and in doing so squandered another valuable three points. Ambassadors General Manager did not mince words after the match, “ The Ambassadors are playing better, but player commitment is the key weakness. At this level, there is an apparent lack of professionalism amongst some players. Six of our starting players made a different commitment when they were most needed. The coach will address this issue immediately.” Excused from the list of absentees were Yousef Samy,(San Jose Earthquakes reserve player) and starting goalkeeper Sergio Valle, who was called up to the US Men’s beach Soccer team. San Diego came into the match undefeated and left that way after 90 minutes. It seems the biggest problem for the Ambassadors is finishing. So far this season, the Ambassadors have only been able to muster up two goals in four games while giving up 12. The question for the Ambassadors now is what will they do to fix their current problems? FC Bay Area Ambassadors will travel this Saturday April 30th, to play Hasental FC.
